If you never or seldom paid in to the Social Security sstyem you will not be qualified for benefits, just like any other retirement plan. Most Baby Boomers are fine, they get their money and benefits. Only people that are spouses or dependents of a member, can legally get any benefits as well. Anyway, aside from the teacher losing his job, and most likely both of them damaging their reputations to some degree, everything else should be fine. He might have some trouble finding another job as a teacher because of what they did, and how people are going to take that into account when they consider hiring him, but he should still be able to find another job.
